Lujun received her BA in German from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology in China in 2011, she then furthered her study in the United States and received her MA in German Language and Literature from California State University, Long Beach in 2013. Her MA exams focused on Goethe, Schiller and 20 Century German Drama.

Following her graduation she went on pursuing her study as a PhD student at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

After the first academic year, Lujun has studied at the University of Greifswald in Germany as an exchange student. She has taught German Fairy Tale as a part of her exchange program.

Her research interests include the early modern, classic and 20 century German literature, Victorian literature and art, classic European paintings, worldwide handcrafts, folklores and legends, European history, American modern superheroes' philosophical and psychological studies.
