Study Abroad

Summer 2012 course offered in Stockholm, Sweden

“Environment and Society in a Changing Arctic” 6 credit hours – June 11-July 25, 2012

Students from the University of Illinois and KTH Royal Institute of Technology will spend 5 weeks together in Stockholm taking an interdisciplinary course on issues related to climate change and the Arctic, including a week-long excursion to conduct field research on location north of the Arctic Circle. Open to students of all majors and fields.

The Scandinavian Program has established strong relationships with study abroad programs at Uppsala University in Sweden, Oslo University in Norway, and Danish Institute for Study Abroad in Copenhagen. Here you can take courses in both English and modern Scandinavian Languages that can be used to complete the Scandinavian Studies Concentration for the Major in German or the Minor in Scandinavian Studies.
